Create a Discussion

A Canvas Discussion is a place where you and your students can have group or whole class conversations. Discussions don't need to be just text. You and your students can use Discussion to share images, sound clips, and videos.

 

• In Course Navigation, click the Discussions link.

• Click the + Discussion button.

• Enter the Title to your Discussion and instructions.

• Below the text editor select the Options you would like to enable for your discussion and when you would like for your discussion to be available to students.

• Click Save.

• Your Discussion will appear.
